How to Use the BPM Tap Tempo Button
The BPM Tap Tempo Button helps you find the tempo (BPM) and milliseconds (MS) of a song by simply tapping along with the beat. Here’s how to use it:
- Start Tapping: Press the “Tap to the Beat” button in rhythm with the song you’re listening to. Each time you tap, the tracker will measure the time between your taps to calculate the beats per minute (BPM).
- Watch the Progress: As you tap, the loading bar will begin to fill up. The bar will gradually increase with each tap, reaching 100% after the 4th tap.
- Complete the 5 Taps: After you tap 4 times, the loading bar will be full. When you tap the 5th time, the BPM will be calculated based on your previous taps, and the result will be displayed on the screen.
- View Your BPM: The average BPM of your 5 taps will be shown in the BPM display. The loading bar will reset, and the process is ready to start over if you want to measure a different tempo.
- Keep Tapping: After 5 taps the loading bar will begin again and the BPM will update based on your last 5 taps.
By tapping in time with the music, you’ll get an accurate reading of its tempo. If you need to measure the tempo of a different song, simply tap again to start a new session.
How the BPM Tap Tempo Button Works
The BPM Tap Tempo Button works by calculating the tempo (beats per minute, or BPM) of a song based on the rhythm of your taps. Here’s a simplified explanation of how it functions:
- Tapping to the Beat:
- When you tap the button, the tracker measures the time between each tap.
- Calculating the BPM:
- The app calculates the BPM by figuring out how much time passes between each tap. It uses this timing information to determine how fast the beats are occurring, which is expressed in BPM (beats per minute).
- Tracking the Taps:
- The tracker counts how many times you tap. It waits until you’ve tapped 5 times, and then it calculates the average BPM based on the timing of your taps.
- Loading Bar:
- As you tap, the loading bar starts filling up. It progresses with each tap, reaching 100% on the 4th tap.
- Once you tap the 5th time, the loading bar resets, and the BPM is displayed.
- Resetting for the Next Round:
- After showing the BPM, the tracker resets so you can tap again and measure the tempo of another song or beat.
